MORNING DROP-OFF REMINDER FOR WHEELERSBURG ELEMENTARY FAMILIES

🚨 MORNING DROP-OFF REMINDER FOR WHEELERSBURG ELEMENTARY FAMILIES 🚨

Good morning, Pirate Families! πŸ§‘πŸ–€

We want to share a few important reminders about our morning parent drop-off procedures. Our goal is to keep traffic moving efficiently while, most importantly, keeping our students and families safe.

🚌 PLEASE PULL ALL THE WAY FORWARD!

When you enter the drop-off line, please pull forward as far as possible before stopping to let your child exit the vehicle. Please do not stop at the Elementary entrance or at the end of the line when there is clearly space available in front of you.

By pulling forward and filling the available space, we are able to exit students from multiple vehicles at one time, which keeps the line moving and helps prevent traffic from backing up onto the road.

πŸŽ’ Be ready and prepared.

Have your student ready to exit the vehicle before you reach the drop-off area. Backpacks should be on and belongings ready so students can quickly and safely exit the vehicle when the door is opened.

πŸš— Please remain in your vehicle.

We ask that parents/guardians do not get out to assist their child from the vehicle. While we understand that some students may need a little extra help, adults exiting vehicles significantly slows the line and creates additional safety concerns. Our staff is happy to assist students when needed.

🐒 PLEASE SLOW DOWN!

We have noticed some vehicles traveling too quickly through the parking lot. This is a busy area filled with children, families, and staff, and we need everyone to maintain a slow, safe speed at all times.

πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈIf you park your vehicle.

If you need to park, please enter through the designated crosswalk and wait for a staff member to guide you through. This helps us safely manage the flow of vehicles and pedestrians.

We know mornings can be hectic, and we truly appreciate everyone's help in making drop-off quick, safe, and efficient. If we all pull forward as far as possible, stay in our vehicles, have students ready, and follow staff directions, we can safely exit students from more vehicles at one time and significantly reduce the backup onto the road.

Thank you for helping us keep our Pirates safe! πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈπŸ§‘πŸ–€
